Welcome to tinerary™ ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the tinerary™ mobile application ("App").
By using tinerary™, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Name: Your display name, either entered manually or retrieved from your iCloud account, used to identify you to other participants in shared plans.
User Content: Plans, events, RSVPs, comments, and other content you create or share within the App.
Information Collected Automatically
Device Identifiers: Anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers used solely for analytics and performance monitoring.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including screens viewed, features used, and actions taken.
Location Data: When you choose to add a location to an event, we access your device's location services only at that time. Location data is not collected in the background and is never continuously tracked.
Information from Third-Party Services
Apple iCloud / CloudKit: We use Apple's CloudKit to store and synchronize your plans, events, and shared data. Your data is associated with your Apple ID and stored securely within Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
Information We Do Not Collect
tinerary™ does not collect or process the following categories of data:
- Government-issued identification numbers
- Financial or payment information
- Biometric data (such as fingerprints or facial recognition)
- Health or medical information
- Sensitive personal data such as race, ethnicity, or religious beliefs
- Background, continuous, or passive location tracking
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve App functionality
- Enable plan sharing and collaboration between users
- Sync your data across your Apple devices
- Analyze usage patterns to improve performance and usability
- Send notifications about plan updates and RSVPs (with your permission)
We process your data based on your consent, to perform our contract with you (providing the App's core functionality), and for legitimate interests such as improving reliability and user experience.
Data Storage and Security
CloudKit Storage: Your plans, events, and user content are stored using Apple CloudKit, which encrypts data both in transit and at rest. Data is associated with your Apple ID.
On-Device Storage: Some information is cached locally on your device to enable offline access.
Analytics: Usage analytics are processed using Firebase Analytics (Google) in anonymized and aggregated form.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

- With Other Users: When you share a plan, participants can view the plan details, events, and your name/RSVP status.

Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: View your data within the App at any time
- Delete Content: Delete individual plans and events within the App
- Location Access: Grant or revoke location permissions through your device settings
- Notifications: Enable or disable notifications through your device settings
- Analytics Controls: Limit analytics and tracking through your device's privacy settings
Deleting Your Data
Because tinerary™ uses Apple CloudKit, your data is associated with your Apple ID. You may delete all CloudKit data associated with tinerary™ by managing the App's data through your iCloud settings. Deleting the App removes locally stored data from your device.
Automated Decision-Making
tinerary™ does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users.
Children's Privacy
tinerary™ is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide App services. User-created content remains stored until you delete it. Analytics data is retained only in aggregated form.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Apple CloudKit and Google Firebase operate globally. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal data we collect
- Request deletion of personal data
- Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)
European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure
- Request data portability

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted within the App and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
